Our Mission
To offer confidential and free services to all families facing a crisis or unplanned pregnancy in Boyle, Lincoln, Garrard, and Mercer counties. We desire to encourage, empower, and educate families on all accurate options providing them with physical, emotional, and spiritual support.
Our Vision
Haven Care Center is a Christian, pro-life ministry proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and providing physical, emotional and spiritual assistance to families who face unplanned or crisis pregnancies. Our desire is to reach those who are abortion wounded.
History
The journey of Haven Care Center originally began in 1991 under the name of Crisis Pregnancy C.A.R.E. Center. It was known as the Mercer-Boyle County Crisis Pregnancy Center and was located in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Many years later, it was renamed the Pregnancy Resource Center of Central Kentucky, where they planned to show women that they were not alone during an unplanned pregnancy. In 2001 the second crisis center opened in Danville Kentucky, known as Haven Care Center. For 14 years, Haven was located in a small suite on the main street. As our client’s needs grew, we grew as well, leading us to our new location in central Danville. We opened our “forever” doors early 2019, this significantly expanded our space and has allowed us to grow even more. Over the years, we have evolved and changed, but our mission has stayed the same: a” safe haven” for women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. We are open to all, but our primary counties are Mercer, Boyle, Lincoln, and Garrard.

- Classes to promote independence and wellbeing
- Post wounded support
- Grief/miscarriage resources and healing room
- Sixth to twelfth grade education on abstinence, healthy relationships, and self-worth
- Limited ultrasound (six to twenty-one weeks) and STI lab at the Danville location
